The necklace is handcrafted with 6mm natural gold-sheen obsidian gemstones, graduating to 4mm obsidian beads toward the ends for a beautifully refined silhouette.
 
After every ten obsidian beads, a carefully placed golden segment creates rhythm throughout the design: a 6mm 14k gold-filled bead framed by two 14k gold-filled disc beads. The detailing is repeated at the center, bringing warmth and subtle structure to the rich black gemstones.
 
Suspended at the heart of the necklace is a 25mm antique-gold French Marianne medallion. Marianne, the enduring national personification of the French Republic, has long represented liberty, strength, and the spirit of France.
