Organic texture meets luminous pearl in Pōhaku Kai, a handcrafted necklace inspired by the natural beauty of stone, sea, and island landscapes.
 
The necklace begins with 8mm to 10mm natural African turquoise gemstones, each irregularly shaped, allowing the variations in color, pattern, and form of each stone to become part of the design.
 
At the center rests a luminous 10mm creamy white freshwater pearl, framed on either side by substantial 10mm sterling silver spacers. From the center, the design continues with three 8mm round African turquoise gemstones, followed by 8–9mm creamy freshwater pearls and polished 6mm sterling silver beads.
 
The remainder of the necklace returns to the irregular African turquoise, with 4mm sterling silver beads set between each gemstone, adding flashes of cool silver while allowing the stone's earthy character to remain the focus.
 
Three sterling silver beads finish each end before meeting a discreet 6mm sterling silver magnetic clasp. The necklace is hand-strung on silver satin cord and finished with sterling silver wire guards at the clasp for added protection.
 
At approximately 22 inches, Pōhaku Kai has a relaxed, substantial drape that beautifully showcases the natural variations of the gemstones.
