You know The Quarry Shop loves a good artisan story—and we have some beautiful new ones to share. These pieces carry with them not only artistry, but also traditions of resilience, sustainability, and creativity.
Recycled Metal Showy White Owls
Majestic and full of character, our new Recycled Metal Showy White Owls are symbols of endurance, patience, and wisdom. Perfect for a perch on your front porch, in your entryway, on a mantle, or even in the garden, they bring a sense of quiet strength wherever they land.
Each owl is hand-crafted in Zimbabwe from recycled 40-gallon oil drums—an extraordinary example of creating beauty from waste. African artists have a unique gift for transforming discarded materials into art that tells a story, and these owls are no exception. Adopt one… or a whole family!
Recycled Glass Elephant & Buffalo
From Swaziland comes another inspiring creation: our Recycled Glass Elephant and Buffalo. These enchanting pieces are handmade by a small group of Swazi craftsmen and women, who carry forward age-old artistry to breathe life into Africa’s animals and birds. Every piece, made from 100% recycled glass bottles, has its own irresistible personality.
The impact stretches beyond the artistry. Local people are encouraged to collect bottles, helping to clean their communities while supporting the craft. Ngwenya Glass, the workshop behind these creations, also partners with local schools to nurture environmental awareness in children—instilling respect for the earth at an early age.
Beauty from Waste, Hope for the Future
Making something beautiful and lasting from what others discard is a theme close to our hearts. From bags made with ocean trash to jewelry created from remnants of bombs, we’ve shared many stories of artists who transform debris into art. These latest pieces are a continuation of that legacy—a reminder that creativity and care for the planet can go hand in hand.
At The Quarry Shop, we are proud to bring you these treasures, each carrying a story of resilience, artistry, and hope for the future.
