There are certain places in the world that stay with you long after you leave them.
The sound of waves against the shore. Sunlight reflecting on water. Weathered wood, sea glass, warm sand, salt air, and the relaxed beauty of island life. The feeling is calming, grounding, and freeing all at once.
Growing up in the Midwest, I have some of my favorite memories from the family vacations we took to the ocean — especially along the coasts of Florida and the Carolinas. Later, our travels to Maui and Kauai deepened that connection even more. The colors of the water, the texture of shells and driftwood, the warmth of the sun, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere left a lasting impression on me. Those experiences stayed with me over the years and quietly became part of the inspiration behind the Moku Collection.
That feeling became the inspiration behind the Moku by Quarry Collection.
Moku was created as a celebration of natural beauty, artisan craftsmanship, and intentional living. Every piece in the collection reflects the textures, colors, and spirit of coastal life — from ocean blues and sandy neutrals to richly layered natural materials gathered from artisans around the world.
The collection features elements such as freshwater pearls, vintage Italian coral, Ghana glass beads, Java glass heishi beads, rosewood, shell accents, and natural gemstones, all chosen for their earthy beauty and individuality. Many of these materials are handmade in small batches by independent artisans, featuring subtle imperfections and textures that make each piece feel truly one of a kind.
One of the most meaningful materials used throughout the collection is vintage coral. We use only vintage coral components that have already existed in circulation for decades, allowing these beautiful natural materials to continue their story in a thoughtful and sustainable way. Their rich color and organic beauty connect perfectly with the coastal spirit that defines Moku.
The name “Moku” reflects a connection to island life, nature, and the ocean — a collection designed for those who feel most at home near the water, under the sun, and surrounded by effortless, authentic beauty.
