Created as individual designs, Kai Moana became something even more beautiful when we brought the necklace and two coordinating bracelets together. Their colors, textures, and distinctive vintage character complemented one another so perfectly that we couldn't bear to separate them. And so, this lovely three-piece ensemble was born.
 
Inspired by the beauty of coastal waters and the timeless appeal of treasured vintage materials, Kai Moana combines vibrant blue turquoise, rare vintage Japanese milk glass, and intricate antique silver accents in a collection that celebrates both history and contemporary artisan design.
 
The Necklace
 
At the heart of this stunning design are beautiful blue turquoise beads in graduated sizes of 10mm, 8mm, and 6mm, thoughtfully arranged with the larger gemstones toward the center and smaller beads near the ends. Their rich blue tones create a captivating foundation for the soft white vintage glass.
 
Interspersed throughout are 6mm vintage white milk glass beads from Miriam Haskell stock, handmade in Japan circa the late 1940s to early 1950s. These remarkable beads carry a special connection to the golden age of costume jewelry, when Japanese glassmakers produced exquisite beads treasured by celebrated American jewelry designers.
 
Today, vintage beads from this era are highly sought after by jewelry artisans and collectors who appreciate their history, quality, and distinctive character. Delicate antique silver flat flower-disc spacers are thoughtfully arranged in selected segments throughout the necklace, adding intricate texture and subtle vintage charm while beautifully enhancing the contrast between the turquoise and milk glass.
 
Measuring approximately 20.5 inches in length, the necklace features a sterling silver magnetic closure and clasp, along with a 3.5-inch sterling silver extension chain for adjustable styling. The clasp can be secured to a preferred link on the extension chain, allowing the magnetic closure to provide easy fastening and removal.
 
A dainty sterling silver charm at the end of the extension chain provides a lovely finishing touch, part of The Quarry Shop's signature attention to detail.
