Let me start by saying—I don’t imagine everyone is waiting to hear what I have to say. But I do genuinely enjoy sharing. After stepping away from my executive corporate role, I found myself with a renewed energy for working, researching, writing, and connecting through ideas.

This blog is my space to do just that. Whether or not my first post strikes your interest, there will be plenty more to come. If something here resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Even more, I look forward to learning from others through the conversations that follow.

There’s something about October that calls for cozy mugs, wool blankets, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. This month, we’re celebrating two Quarry favorites that perfectly capture the season — the bold, earthy richness of Sumatra and the sweet, spiced embrace of Pumpkin Spice.


Sumatra – Deep, Bold, and Beautifully Balanced

Our Sumatra roast is a classic blend that embodies everything we love about full-bodied coffee. Grown in the lush highlands of Indonesia, Sumatra beans are known for their low acidity, syrupy mouthfeel, and notes of dark chocolate, cedar, and spice.


It’s the kind of coffee that lingers—smooth yet bold, perfect for cool mornings or fireside evenings.


Our favorite way to enjoy it:

Try a Sumatra Mocha Irish, made by blending hot Sumatra coffee with a touch of cocoa powder, a splash of Irish cream (or non-alcoholic Irish syrup), and a dollop of whipped cream. It’s rich, cozy, and just a little indulgent—like sweater weather in a cup.


Pumpkin Spice – Fall’s Favorite Flavor

Is it really October without Pumpkin Spice? Our Pumpkin Spice Coffee blends warm notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove for that unmistakable autumn flavor. Whether you’re sipping it at sunrise or during a crisp evening walk, it’s the perfect reminder of everything we love about fall—comfort, nostalgia, and a touch of sweetness.


Our favorite way to enjoy it:

Make a Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam Cold Brew by pouring cold brew over ice, topping it with pumpkin-spiced cold foam (just froth together milk, a bit of pumpkin purée, and pumpkin pie spice), and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It’s festive, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.
