How Every Brand at The Quarry Shop Earns Its Place
When I launched The Quarry Shop in February 2025, I had a simple vision: to create more than an online store.
I wanted to build a place where every product had a purpose, every maker had a story, and every purchase meant something.
After more than thirty years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to follow a different path—one rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and connection. I wanted to create a business that reflected the values I had come to appreciate most: thoughtful design, ethical
sourcing, timeless quality, and supporting talented artisans and small makers from around the world.
The Quarry Shop has evolved quite a bit since those early days. As every small business does, we've learned, refined, and grown. Along the way, one thing has become very clear to me:
We aren't trying to carry everything.
We're trying to carry the right things.
Today, every piece you find at The Quarry Shop has earned its place. Whether it's a handcrafted necklace from one of our Quarry Collections, a thoughtfully chosen handbag, a piece of coastal décor, or one of our Creative Escape books, each item is selected for reflecting the values that define our brand.
We look for exceptional craftsmanship.
We value timeless design over passing trends.
We believe beautiful things should be made to last—not simply replaced.
And whenever possible, we seek out brands and makers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing, responsible production, sustainability, and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
That philosophy is why we've chosen to partner with only a small number of handbag designers. Rather than offering hundreds of styles, we've carefully selected brands whose stories align with our own.
From artisan-made handbags handcrafted by women in Brazil, to slow-fashion leather goods crafted by skilled artisans in Italy and Spain, to contemporary ethical designers in New York and Los Angeles, every collection represents quality, intention, and craftsmanship.
The same philosophy guides our jewelry.
Many of our pieces feature natural gemstones, freshwater pearls, premium Czech glass, Miyuki Japanese glass beads, Fair Trade materials, and rare vintage components—including authentic Miriam Haskell "Cherry Brand" milk glass beads that have remained out of circulation for decades. These are materials chosen not only for their beauty but also for the stories they carry and the artistry they embody.
At The Quarry Shop, we believe shopping should feel personal again.
It should be about discovering something you love, learning its story, and knowing it was created with care.
